Meet our February star of the month – Karolina Tokarz
Each month we celebrate an extraordinary team member who has gone above and beyond to help and support their customers and colleagues. During February, Karolina Tokarz was awarded our ‘Star of the Month’ trophy and we’d like to tell you a little more about her, what makes her tick and her time spent at Windsor Telecom.
1. How long have you worked at Windsor Telecom?
I’ve worked at Windsor Telecom for over 4 years. I started here as a Credit Controller while studying my AAT and then became more involved with billing. I was then promoted and am very proud of my role as Assistant Accountant within the Accounts team.
2. What do you like most about your job?
In a nutshell, I manage the purchase ledger for Windsor and assist the team with reporting and other fun financial duties. I mostly love the dynamics and variety of the duties I have. I enjoy that everyday is an opportunity to learn something new which allows me to grow and be the best I can be.
3. What career wisdom can you share with us?
It’s important to have a strong work ethic, lots of self motivation and work well in a team to make your career dreams come true.
4. What do you like to do on weekends?
I love spending time with my family and friends, taking long walks, learning new things, reading, baking and cooking (even if it doesn’t go to plan)!
5. Any fun facts we don’t know about you?
I love solving Rubik’s cubes, playing chess and challenging myself in Sudoku (I know, I was supposed to give you FUN facts)!
6. If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Barack Obama – I’ve always been in awe of his personal and political achievements. His journey against all odds has always inspired me and it would be an honour to be able to speak with him.
7. What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Chocolate! I tried really hard to give it up, believe me!
8. What are your top 3 films?
Inception, Enigma and The Holiday.
9. If you could have any superpower what would it be?
Reading people’s minds – it would save me so much time – trying to wonder about other’s true perceptions are, their needs and best ways forward.
