Windsor Telecom delivers dedicated connectivity for serviced offices at modern business park


The Customer

Allanbay Park Estate is a privately owned and managed Estate consisting of both residential and state of the art commercial units alongside a traditional working farm, working alongside tenants to ensure that everyone has the best basis from which to grow.

The Challenge

In 2018, the business invested in a new business park development, Mare Lane Business Park, on a green field site in Binfield. The site was to build and develop a modern workspace to provide serviced offices for up to seven businesses.

With construction taking longer than planned due to the Covid pandemic, as soon as the main build was finally completed in late 2022 it was ‘all systems go’ to get the internal fit-out and utilities up and running so that the units could be rented out.

This meant providing business-grade connectivity and voice services for its tenants; services that would be critical to the satisfaction of the tenants, so the new internet and communications solution needed to be high-speed, reliable and resilient, as well as flexible enough so that individual businesses could have the services tailored to their specific needs.

The Solution

Given that Allanbay Park’s team doesn’t include an IT administrator, it was clear from the first conversation that the solution would need to be managed 24/7 by Windsor, ensuring any cyber threats were mitigated and that any issues with network performance could be quickly resolved.

After exploring various technologies available at the site, Ethernet was chosen for its 1Gbps speeds at a reasonable cost, paired with a business-grade SLA that would provide service credits if there was ever an outage that lasted longer than 4 hours.

A robust Wi-Fi network would also be required to ensure tenants, visitors and Allanbay Park staff could stay connected throughout the site, and a Xelion phone solution was decided on for its value for money, while providing a fully-featured cloud-based Unified Communications experience that each tenant could customise to their needs.

The Results

Windsor Telecom has provided robust connectivity into the site along with managed Wi-Fi and cloud telephony services to business tenants. The managed solution delivers peace of mind for both Allanbay and its tenants, confident that they will always have fast and secure communications.
