BT Makes Calls to 0870 and 0845 numbers Free for UK Businesses

BT is offering unlimited calls to 0870 and 0845 numbers for UK businesses as part of its new calling plan.
The high value BT Business One Plan also offers unlimited minutes to UK landlines, mobiles and international destinations for a monthly fee.
This news is likely to be welcomed by business to business (B2B) firms who have 0845 numbers who can now expect to see an increase in enquiries and sales as their clients can now call them without charge.
Neil Sherring, chief executive of Windsor Telecom, the UK's 2nd largest provider of 0845 numbers said: "BT made calls to 0845 numbers free for most consumers earlier this year. The fact that businesses can now take advantage of this is highly beneficial for B2B firms with 0845 numbers who will now see a boost in the calls they receive."
Thousands of UK businesses use 0845 numbers as it allows them to smarten up the way they deal with their calls with numerous call management features, including menu options, instant call divert and online call statistics.
