More than you'd expect from a newsletter
May 2007

Customer engagement and empowerment has always been at the forefront of Windsor's values. This is embodied in our new newsletter and e-resource SoundBoard.

Not only does this bring you relevant and up-to-date news, it's also the start of some important and ongoing relationships with market leading companies.

In our first edition we took a contemporary look at Business Development with Peter Watler from Milestones Development. This addressed issues we all face and should not avoid, such as Strategic Planning and The Sales Cycle. Download your copy here Business Development in 2007.

We also worked with Latitude, leaders in search marketing to produce the nonsense guide to 5 Ways to Succeed with Google Adwords. Something every business in the world would profit from.

SoundBoard now has over 6000 subscribers from our business community, many of whom took full advantage of these topical guides and articles, as well as trying their luck with our competition. SoundBoard will now be a regular feature for all those that want to be the first to know how to embrace contemporary business opportunities and tackle key issues. See more on SoundBoard - Issue One.

0800 Number Strengthens Poole Pottery Appeal
April 2007

Windsor Telecom joined local companies within the region recently by providing support to workers whose jobs were axed the week before Christmas.

Windsor stepped forward by providing a freephone 0800 number and offered to cover the call costs. This meant local workers and their families had a free and memorable phone number to contact their union and gain support and guidance.

The number was promoted by local radio station 2CR FM and The Bournemouth Daily Echo and with their help a campaign to support axed workers and their families soon got into full swing. The Transport and General Workers Union launched the appeal inviting businesses and locals alike to donate whatever they could to help workers through Christmas and find new jobs within the region.

The freephone 0800 number provided by Windsor certainly added to the appeals success and when mentioned in the media encouraged people to pick up the phone to help or seek advice.
