When you secure your 0844 number we will ask you what phone number you would like us to route it to, which is called your ‘destination number’.
This could be your main landline, mobile or home phone number. Your free Targetmaster service allows you to easily change this destination number instantly via the web or phone 24 hours a day.
0844 numbers do not replace your existing phone number, but work alongside them, allowing you to integrate them as you wish.
Keep the same phone number wherever you go, so even if you relocate to new premises you simply change the destination number the day of the move for a hassle free relocation. Therefore, you will also never have to reprint any business cards, letterheads or leaflets or have to wait untill the last minute to know what your new numbers will be.

In the mid nineties when 0844 numbers were introduced the cost of calling them worked out the same as a local rate call. Therefore if you lived in Sheffield and called a business in Bristol you would only pay a standard BT local rate. This is not the case anymore as different phone operators (BT, 02, Vodafone etc) charge different prices for their services.
From a standard BT landline, calling an 0844 number will cost your callers 4.25p per minute at all times. Other phone operators will vary.
